Player Loan Updates – Week of 10/26

Three OL Reign players out on loan saw time for their respective sides and national teams over the past week. Here’s how their sides fared:

In Denmark, Machaela George started and played the full 90 minutes for Fortuna Hjørring in a 3-1 win over Brøndby IF on Saturday.

In Sweden, Lauren Barnes started and played the whole match in a 4-0 win over Vittsjö GIK on Sunday. Barnes’ OL Reign teammate, Quinn, was not named to Vittsjö’s matchday roster in the loss.

In international play, Jess Fishlock served up the game-winning assist to teammate Helen Ward in the 33rd minute as Wales defeated the Faroe Islands 4-0 in UEFA Women’s Championship qualifiers on Thursday, October 22. Fishlock also started and played the entire match in a 1-0 loss to Norway on Tuesday, October 27. The win saw Norway clinch the top spot in Group C, though Wales could still qualify to the 2022 tournament through the play-offs if they finish second in their group.

In France, neither Darian Jenkins or Celia Jiménez Delgado were on their club’s 18-player matchday roster for wins against Dijon and Montpellier, respectively.
