OL Reign Delivers Roster Update After Fall Series

OL Reign today announced the current contract status for its full roster following the completion of the 2020 Fall Series.

OL Reign’s current roster is comprised of 25 players, including 17 players who are under contract for the 2021 season and eight players who have been extended contract offers for the 2021 season.

Contracts for the 2021 season have been offered to defender Kristen McNabb, midfielder Shirley Cruz, midfielder Dani Weatherholt, forward Leah Pruitt, forward Jasmyne Spencer, midfielder Rosie White, defender Steph Cox, and midfielder Morgan Andrews.

OL Reign declined to extend the contracts of goalkeeper Carly Nelson, defender Kim Hazlett, and forward Miranda Nild, all of whom were on short-term contracts with the club that ended on October 18. All three players are now discovery eligible.

All other OL Reign players are either under contract for 2021, had their options for the 2021 season exercised by the club, or in the cases of Allie Long and Megan Rapinoe, are U.S. Soccer Federation Players who remain on OL Reign’s roster.

Two players remain on the club’s season-ending injury list, and seven OL Reign players are on loan through the remainder of 2020, and in some cases through a portion of 2021.

Defender Machaela George, who earlier signed an agreement with OL Reign through the 2022 season, is on loan to Fortuna Hjørring A/S in Denmark through December 2020.

OL Reign earlier extended the contract of midfielder Quinn through the 2021 season, with a club option for the 2022 season. Subsequent to Quinn’s re-signing, the Canadian international was loaned to Vittsjö GIK of the Swedish Damallsvenskan through the end of 2020.

Midfielder Jess Fishlock, who is under contact with OL Reign through the 2021 season, remains on loan with FA Women’s Super League side Reading FC, with a planned return prior to the start of the 2021 NWSL season.

Defender Celia Jimenez Delgado has re-signed with OL Reign through the 2022 season. The Spanish international was subsequently loaned to Olympique Lyonnais through June of 2021.

The club also signed forward Darian Jenkins to a two-year agreement, extending her stay with the club through the end of the 2022 season. Subsequent to her signing, Jenkins was loaned to French Division 1 Féminine side FC Girondins de Bordeaux through February 2021.

Defender Lauren Barnes, who is under contract with OL Reign through the 2021 season, will remain on loan with Kristianstads DFF through the conclusion of the Swedish Damallsvenskan season in November 2020.

Forward Yuka (Nicole) Momiki was loaned to Linköpings FC, but suffered a season-ending fracture to her foot in her first match with the Swedish club. Momiki is recovering in Japan after having surgery in September.

Midfielder Kelcie Hedge, who was selected in the first round of the 2020 NWSL College Draft, is continuing her recovery after tearing her ACL on July 1, 2020. Michelle Betos was also added to the season-ending injury list after having surgery on her knee earlier this month.

OL Reign also retains the rights to defender Sam Hiatt and midfielder Meg Brant, both of whom were selected by OL Reign in the 4th round of the 2020 NWSL College Draft.
