Reign FC W-League Round Up – Week 1

The 2019-20 W-League Season began last weekend. Four Reign FC players saw the pitch for their respective sides during the weekend’s action.

Darian Jenkins made her W-League debut, playing 89 minutes for Melbourne Victory FC in a 3-0 road loss to Sydney FC at Netsrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday, November 16. Jenkins took one shot and completed 26 of 34 passes, before making way for Emma Robers.

Lauren Barnes, Steph Catley and Lydia Williams all started for Melbourne City FC in a 1-1 draw at the Newcastle Jets on Saturday, November 16. The three all started and played the full 90 minutes. Barnes won two tackles and three of her five duels, while Catley completed 66 of 81 passes and recorded two shots. Williams made five saves in the draw.

Neither Celia Jiménez Delgado or Morgan Andrews appeared for Perth Glory in a 2-0 loss to Canberra United over the weekend.
