OL Reign Loans Midfielder Luany to Madrid CFF

OL Reign has loaned Brazilian midfielder Luany to Madrid CFF in Liga F, the top-tier women’s football league in Spain, through June 2024. Per league and club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Luany is a talented young player that will greatly benefit from being in the training and playing environment at Madrid CFF,” said OL Reign general manager Lesle Gallimore. “The timing of this opportunity enables her to continue developing in a meaningful way. We know she’ll do well and know that she’s eager to continue to grow as a professional player.”

Luany signed with OL Reign in February 2023 from Grêmio FBPA of Série A, where she made seven starts in nine appearances during the 2022 season. She was the club’s second-leading goal scorer at Grêmio FBPA and the youngest player in the league to score at least three goals in the 2022 regular season.

The 20-year-old has not yet made an appearance for OL Reign but was available on the bench for selection in four UKG NWSL Challenge Cup matches and two regular season matches.
