Day in Photos: 2023 Kick Breast Cancer Match, presented by MultiCare

On Sunday, October 1, OL Reign hosted its annual Kick Breast Cancer Match presented by the club’s longtime partner, MultiCare. The Sunday evening match drew over 10,000 fans as the stadium went pink for the cause.

On the field, OL Reign battled to a 1-1 draw with the North Carolina Courage. The Reign scored first, taking advantage of a set piece to take the lead. Forward Megan Rapinoe served a corner kick into the far side of the goal, where forward Bethany Balcer freed herself from the defense and headed the ball into the back of the net.

The action-packed match provided ample entertainment for those in attendance, as the first half ended with a North Carolina equalizer and OL Reign red card. The Reign stayed steady in the second half, thwarting off North Carolina’s attack despite being a player down. The home side earned a point from the match, maintaining their sixth-place position in the NWSL standings.

Off the field, OL Reign’s fans packed the stadium and turned it pink to Kick Breast Cancer. With themed photo opportunities, face paint, ribbons and more, fans were proud to support the cause.

Community partners like MultiCare and Fred Hutch were in attendance, educating and supporting fans, and the Sports Bra Project was on-site to collect sports bra donations. The incredible matchday would not have been the same without the support of MultiCare, as well as the best fans in the world!
