Assistant Coach Milan Ivanovic Departs Reign FC to Join U.S. WNT Staff
Reign FC assistant coach Milan Ivanovic will depart the club to join Vlatko Andonovski’s coaching staff at the U.S. Women’s National Team, the club announced today. Ivanovic had been a part of Andonovski’s coaching staff for the past four seasons in the NWSL.
“Milan is a coach who is extremely dedicated and passionate about helping players reach their top level on the field,” Andonovski said in a statement released by the federation. “He truly loves the game and is a tireless worker in his preparation for trainings, for matches and in scouting opponents. I know he’ll fit in extremely well with our technical and support staff and one of his big strengths is his ability to connect with players in a way that shows them that he always has their best interests as people and players in mind.”
In addition to serving on Andonovski’s staff at Reign FC and FC Kansas City, Ivanovic also played six professional seasons under Andonovski with the Kansas City Comets in the Major Indoor Soccer League and Major Arena Soccer League from 2012-18.
Ivanovic developed in the Red Star Belgrade academy system in his native Serbia, before transferring to Lokomotiva Belgrade. In 2009, Ivanovic came to the United States to play collegiate soccer at Park University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Ivanovic departs Reign FC having helped the club secure consecutive playoff berths in 2018 and 2019.
